Buena Vida Tea Earl Grey is a finely balanced blend of Ceylon black tea infused with natural bergamot oils – a citrus fruit similar to tiny lemons that are grown in the Mediterranean. Our Earl Grey has a strong bouquet with a bold flavor and a silky finish. There are many legends as to how Earl Grey tea received its name. Most people agree that it is named after Charles Grey, the second Earl Grey, British Prime Minister in the 1830’s and author of the slavery abolition act of 1833. The tea was gifted to Charles Grey in appreciation for ending the monopoly held by the East India Company on trade between Britain and China.
