Dragonwell (aka Longjiang)

From: $7.00

Buena Vida Tea Dragonwell is one of the most famous and beloved of China’s green teas. Once reserved for the Emperor’s exclusive enjoyment, this tea grows in the gardens around Tiger Lake in the Shuzheng valley in Jiuzhaigou county. Dragonwell’s aromatic profile is grassy, nutty and fruity with a pleasant sweet, dried hand roasted vegetal flavor, rich with toasted earthy and yeasty signatures.

This green tea’s unique roasting process – fired in wok like pans over charcoal – yields a lighter, less caffeinated experience perfect for any time of day. This delicately flavored green tea is best served as is – hot or cold – and pairs beautifully with sushi and salads.

Crafted by artisans, Dragonwell’s elongated flattened buds resemble a miniature forest of the proudest evergreen trees awaiting their moment of harmony with boiling water to undergo their transformation. These buds yield a beautiful pale gold liquor when brewed – resembling the most beautiful amber jewels with a light sheen that announces the upcoming herbaceous flavors to the rest of your senses.
